I-49 Accident Turns Fatal

UPDATE:
One person is dead after a hit and run in Lafayette.
It happened on I-49 near mile post five, south of 182 around 1:30 this afternoon. Troopers say, three people were standing on the shoulder near their broken down vehicle, when another car hit one person who then got knocked into the other two. Those two sustained only minor injuries. The driver who hit the three fled the scene.
Now, officials are looking for a grey older model car. If you have any information call state police at 262-5880.
