I-10 West at Jennings Reopened

A westbound off-ramp on I-10 near Jennings remains closed as officials clean and recover crude oil spilled on the road. State police say the tanker, which was carrying crude oil, flipped at 11:20 this morning when it was exiting the highway at LA 97. Police say the driver of the 18-wheeler was airlifted to a Lafayette hospital with moderate injuries. Officials on the scene say they do not know when the exit will reopen. They emphasize that all lanes of I-10 have been reopened.
