I-10 Still Closed at Louisiana-Texas Border

Work continues to remove the truck and load from yesterday's crash on Interstate 10 near the Texas border and progress is being made. Westbound Interstate 10 remains closed at this location. For safety reasons, it will be necessary to also close eastbound Interstate 10 starting at approximately noon for about 30 minutes.
Texas authorities have been notified. Motorists should watch for stopped vehicles as they approach this location and should expect delays.
Westbound Interstate 10 traffic that has detoured north on Louisiana Highway 109 is currently backed up four miles. We are working to reopen the Interstate at this location as soon as it is safe to do so.
