A trial date has been set for a Palmetto man charged with vehicular homicide in connection with a 2011 crash in Baton Rouge.
David Leger's trial will begin on April 28 in East Baton Rouge Parish Judge Trudy White's courtroom.
Leger is accused of chasing another driver, Kelsye Hall, down I-10 at high speeds.
Investigators said the wreck happened after a Hall and another driver, David Leger, chased each other along the interstate at high speeds. Leger allegedly clipped Hall's car, causing his truck to spin out of control, cross the median, and hit an eastbound car head-on.
The five people inside the eastbound car; Kimberly Stagg of Prairieville, Effie Fontenot of Prairieville, and Fontenot's three sons, Hunter Johnson, Austin Fontenot, and Keagan Fontenot; were all killed.
In August, Hall was convicted of negligent homicide. White presided over that trial.
