BATON ROUGE, La. (AP) - The Louisiana Department of Wildlife and Fisheries is urging hunters to donate frozen game and fish to the Greater Baton Rouge Food Bank on Sunday. The department says it's also called "Clean Out Your Freezer Day".
It's one of many Hunters for the Hungry programs around the country.
Eight sites in East Baton Rouge Parish and one each in Ascension, West Baton Rouge, Iberville, Livingston, Pointe Coupee and East and West Feliciana parishes will be taking the donations between 1 and 4 p.m. Sunday.
For more information, contact the Greater Baton Rouge Food Bank at 225-359-9940, ext. 206 or amy(at)brfoodbank.org.
