Not a bad morning across Acadiana. It's still comfortably cool over the northern parishes with temperatures in the mid 60s. I-10 and southward upper 60s and low 70s. Dew point temperatures will be climbing today as the warm front located along the coast will gradually push inland this afternoon. Humidity levels will increase, while comfort levels will be decreasing today and over the weekend.
Not much rain expected today. Best chances will be along the coast and offshore. By Saturday and Sunday, the heat and humidity will be back in full force. With the moisture back in place, the afternoon showers and thunderstorms will return as well.
Typical summer weather will stick around into next week. Hot, humid, with a few scattered storms. Temperatures will run in the low 90s with the heat index approaching 100.
