The summer weather doldrums are in full effect here in Acadiana, and it's starting to feel like we may just be living the same day on loop, but of course that's nothing new in August.
Dry air has made a rare, but welcomed, visit to south central Louisiana and will likely hang around through the remainder of the work week.
A front that has stalled just offshore will start to be on the move early this weekend, which means our break from the humidity will shortly be over.
As the moisture content in the atmosphere increases this weekend it will bring with it a chance for showers in the afternoon.
The recent lack of moisture has given us almost completely clear skies but the summer cumulus clouds will be returning by Saturday.
Rain chances wills till remain isolated to scattered and will all be pop-up in nature, with the best chances arriving Sunday afternoon.
The summer pattern doesn't look to change anytime soon so hopefully everyone enjoyed the break in heat and humidity because it will be back to stay this weekend.
