HS Football Player Dies after Collapsing at Practice

A 16-year old high school football player who collapsed and died had an underlying health condition.
Dontrel Claiborne collapsed during football practice at Carver Senior High School Tuesday afternoon. He was pronounced dead at Tulane Medical Center.
Preliminary findings show he had a congenital heart defect. The information was released today by the Orleans Parish Coroner's office.
