Three of the commissioners ousted from the Lafayette Housing authority say they're back on the job and they planned on holding their next meeting today.
But the special board of commissioners meeting was canceled after the Housing Authority failed to get a quorum. Three members showed up, but they needed Donald Fuselier to legally hold the meeting. He is the only former member not removed from office.
The three who showed up at the meeting Thursday were ousted earlier this year by Lafayette Parish President Joey Durel when an audit showed the Housing Authority mishandled more than 400-thousand dollars of federal funds.
Members had two items on their Thursday agenda:
officially respond to the 2008-09 findings and recommendations
officially receive the 2008-09 audit
