Around Acadiana when you hear that expression, you might think UL and LSU, but one family puts a different spin on it.
When you think house divided you don't really think Alabama and LSU, but for one Lafayette family that's just the case.
Gordon Broussard is an avid crimson tide fan and his wife Alice is cheering for LSU. Gordon works in New Orleans and showed up two hours early for Alabama's arrival to the Crescent City. Not only is this couple divided, but even the family pets are sporting their team's jersey's while "barking on" their pick.
Gordon hope's Monday's rematch will be a time of redemption for the Crimson Tide and he's not afraid to cheer on his team.
"I work in New Orleans and it just so happened to be one of the nights that I'm staying here, so I was able to greet the team and my wife is jealous because she is an LSU fan. We have the house divided two days this year."
Gordon did grow up in Louisiana, but became a Crimson Tide fan as a kid when he would go hunting in Alabama. He did say that when Alabama isn't playing LSU he's a tiger fan like his wife.
Gordon and his wife Alice plan to watch the game together Monday night.
