Houma man in Morgan City Jail on incest charge

A Houma man is being held in the Morgan City Jail without bond on charges that he had sexual contact with an 8-year-old.

Morgan City Police say they were alerted on Oct. 10 to a possible case of child molestation which may have occurred in the Morgan City area within the last several weeks. Detectives with the Morgan City Police Department travelled to Houma to investigate.

Police say they discovered that the Houma Police Department received a complaint alleging Randy Paul LeBlanc, 31, of Houma, was suspected of having sexual contact with an 8-year-old on several occasions, with one incident alleged to have occurred while the subjects were in Morgan City.

Leblanc was booked into the Terrebone Parish Correctional Center before being transferred to the Morgan City Police Department and booked into the Morgan City Jail.

The investigation is continuing.
