Partly cloudy skies to start your Thursday with muggy conditions. Temperatures are running in the low to mid 70s, upper 70s along the coast. Our tropical disturbance didn't show any signs of organization yesterday or overnight, it will continue toward the lower Texas coast today.
With the disturbance farther away, our rain chances will lower briefly today. Partly cloudy skies are expected with highs in the lower 90s. Best chances for rain will be along the coast and offshore. Winds will be out of the SE at 10 mph.
Over the next couple of days, a trough will dig across the Rockies and Great Plains. At the same time, high pressure over the southeast will move over the Atlantic. In between a strong southerly flow will be in place across Acadiana. Deep moisture from the Gulf and the Caribbean will be flowing in. A few disturbances will move aloft late Friday into Saturday. Rain chances will be higher for the early part of the weekend. Some heavy rain will be possible.
The pattern should relax somewhat Sunday into Labor day with rains gradually tapering off. Highs in the low 90s.
