Starting our Tuesday with temperatures in the mid to upper 70s. It is very humid across Acadiana and we've seen fog developing across the region, especially over Central Louisiana and out to the west toward Lake Charles.
Another hot and humid day today with highs in the 90s. We'll see just a 30% chance for afternoon storms. A rather slow period is in store for the rest of the week with normal summer time heat and normal summer time rain chances. Temperatures by the weekend could be closer to 95, a temperature we haven't reached yet here in Lafayette (officially).
Bertha has weakened and is back to tropical storm strength. It looks pretty ragged on the satellite and isn't expected to regain hurricane strength today. It is forecast to weaken.
