ALEXANDRIA, La. (AP) - Actress Faith Ford says she's dreamed of
making a movie in her home town for a long time, and couldn't be
more excited that it's about to begin.
The horror-thriller "Escapee" is to begin a three-week shoot
in Alexandria, where Ford was born; Pineville, where she grew up,
and the surrounding area.
It was written and will be directed by Ford's husband, Campion
Murphy.
It's about a psychology student who takes a college field trip
to a mental hospital where a patient becomes obsessed with her,
escapes and tries to track her down.
Scott Anderson, Ford's producing partner on the film, says it
came about because the five-time Emmy nominee and two-time Golden
Globe nominee wanted to bring part of Louisiana's $600 million film
business to her home town.
