Sheriff Bobby Guidroz says Lafayette Police asked his office for assistance in searching a residence in the Lawtell area. Guidroz won't confirm or deny it is in connection with the Mickey Shunick case, only saying that they are working with police on a major crime that happened in Lafayette. Guidroz said more information will be given at the 1:00 pm press conference on Friday. However, Lafayette Police have told us the 1:00 pm press conference is to speak about the arrest in the Mickey Shunick case.
