An Abbeville man is in jail and charged with being a principal to attempted second-degree murder. Police say 25-year-old Maxie Mitchell took part in a home invasion last October in which a resident was shot and over $1,000 in goods were stolen. Mitchell is also charged with armed robbery and being a felon in possession of a firearm.

Two other unidentified suspects are still wanted. If you have any information on who they might be, call Abbeville police at 893-2511.
