Home Invasion in Lafayette August 3

On August 3, 2010, at approximately 10:00 pm, officers with the Lafayette Police Department responded to the 200 block of Village Lane regarding a home invasion. According to the victims, four black males allegedly kicked open the front door of the residence and began demanding money. While the suspects were in the residence two more victims arrived. One of the male victims was struck in the facial area by the suspects and threatened. The suspects stole jewelry, a purse and a vehicle. The vehicle was recovered a short time later near the intersection of Ambassador Caffery and Wilbourn Drive.

The suspects were described as four tall thin black males. Two of the four victims suffered minor injuries. Detectives are asking anyone with information pertaining to the incident or the identity of the suspects to call the Lafayette Police Department or Crime Stoppers at 232-TIPS.
