Home Burglary in New Iberia

Sheriff Louis Ackal stated that on November 20, 2010 at approximately 09:06 p.m. deputies with the Iberia Parish Sheriff's Office responded to a burglary call. The incident occurred at the 5000 block of Elizabeth Plessala Lane. Upon the deputy's arrival, they spoke to the victim who advised the back door of the residence was pried open while the victims were away from the residence. The victims then stated as they entered the home, they realized several different types of electronics were stolen from the residence. Misiclanious jewelry was also taken, stated the victim. The victim estimated the items value totaled nearly $3000. Detectives are investigating the incident at this time.
