Holiday Trash Schedule Changes In Lafayette

There will be no garbage or recycling collection on Christmas day. Regular Friday customers in the city of Lafayette and unincorporated areas of Lafayette Parish will receive service the Saturday following Christmas. Allied Waste will also pick up excess garbage and large boxes outside of the automated garbage cart on all customers' first service day following Christmas and New Year. Excess garbage must be bagged, and should not be placed in cardboard boxes. The excess collection is only for the holidays. There will be no yard waste collection from December 26 until January 8 due to the excess garbage collection. Collection of yard waste, including clean, natural Christmas trees, resumes on Monday, January 11.
