BATON ROUGE, La. (AP) - State police have arrested a 21-year-old Holden woman following an extensive investigation into a hit and run crash that claimed the life of a cyclist on July 7.
The accident happened on La. Highway 426 west of U.S. Highway 190 in East Baton Rouge Parish.
The cyclist, 50-year-old Eddie Arinder of Baton Rouge, sustained serious injuries in the crash, and later died at Ochsner Hospital in New Orleans.
The vehicle that struck the cyclist fled the scene after the crash.
Russell G. Graham says Jodie Hoseth was arrested Friday night and booked with felony hit and run.
It was not immediately known whether Hoseth has an attorney.
