Hit-and-run driver kills Marksville man

SIMMESPORT, La. (AP) - State police say a 36-year-old pedestrian was killed in a hit-and-run on La. Highway 1 in Simmesport.
The Town Talk reports Levi Jones Jr. of Marksville was found in the south lane of La. Highway 1 Saturday after an unidentified vehicle struck him around 3 p.m.
Jones was pronounced dead at the scene.
Troopers say the driver of the vehicle didn't stop.
The crash remains under investigation.
