Historic photos donated to family

The Eunice Police Department's first black Deputy Chief of Police, Deputy Chief Varden Guillory Sr., presented pictures of the first black police officer in the City of Eunice, Sgt Madilla Hurks, to his family, Hurks served from May 11, 1953 to July 1, 1973.

The old black and white photos from Eunice PD's history will be added to the Eunice Police Department's Facebook page.
