PRAIRIEVILLE, La. (AP) - A project to widen a 2.3-mile section of Louisiana Highway 73 in Ascension Parish that ties into Interstate 10 will begin late this month, state highway officials said.
The Advocate reported the $15.5 million project will be discussed at a state Department of Transportation and Development meeting on Oct. 27 from 6-7:30 p.m. at St. John the Evangelist Church in Prairieville.
Also to be discussed is a separate proposal to widen Louisiana Highway 42. That work is still several years away.
The Louisiana Highway 73 project will add a center turn lane to the highway between Airline Highway and the Interstate 10 and Louisiana Highway 621 area.
