Across Acadiana, heavy rains caused several busy streets to flood.
Firefighters were called early Wednesday morning to rescue a woman who said she was trapped in her car on Broadmoor Boulevard.
Fortunately she was able to get out before they arrived.

On Johnston Street in Lafayette a drive was stuck in a ditch filled with water.
The driver was trying to leave a parking lot when it happened.

Streets were flooding mainly in South Lafayette.
Some of the areas included Broadmoor Boulevard, Robley Drive, Johnston Street, and Guilbeau.
It rained hard for a few hours earlier Wednesday morning, but fortunately the rain slowed down which gave the water on the street a chance to recede.
