HazMat Spill Closes I-49 North and South Near LA 10

I-49 Northbound and Southbound north of LA 10 near the rest area is closed at this hour. State police are investigating a hazardous material spill involving an overturned tanker truck. Traffic is being diverted to LA 10 to LA 71 to LA 115 to I-49.

State police say the substance spilled is methanol, which is flammable.

I-49 Southbound remains open.
