Acadiana native Hunter Hayes starts his bid to break a Guinness World Record today by playing the most concerts in different cities in a 24-hour period. He will start his one-day tour by performing his latest song, "Invisible," on ABC's Good Morning America. The tour is part of an effort to end child hunger in the world.
Other stops on Hayes' miniature tour include Philadelphia, Boston, Providence, and New Haven.
In two weeks, Hayes will return to Louisiana for a performance at Bayou Country Superfest.
The current world record for most concerts played in one day by a single artist is eight. That record was set in 2012 by the Flaming Lips. The final two concerts of that 24-hour tour were played in Louisiana--one in Baton Rouge, and the other in New Orleans.
