Halloween is quickly approaching and Trick Or Treat times across Acadiana are being announced.
In Acadia and Evangeline Parishes it's 5 PM to 7 PM.
In Lafayette Parish, the time is later, from 6 PM to 8 PM.
In Jefferson Davis and St Landry Parishes, the Trick Or Treat time is 5:30 PM to 7:30 PM. Main Street Trick or Treating in Jennings tonight has been Cancelled.
In the Town of Mamou, Trick Or Treating will be Sunday, November 1st from 6:30 PM to 8:30 PM, because of Homecoming activities Saturday Night.
In the Town of Duson, Trick or Treating will be held Saturday, October 31st from 6pm until 8pm.
In Ville Platte, Trick or Treating: Saturday, October 31 from 5:30pm until 7:30pm.
In Pine Prairie; Saturday, October 31-6pm until 8pm.
In New Iberia; Saturday, October 31- 6pm until 8pm.
In the Village of Maurice, October 31 -6pm until 8pm.
Sunset, Thursday ---- 5:00 to 7:00 / Saturday, October 31- 5pm to 7pm
Church Point, Saturday, October 31---- 5:30pm until 7:30pm
Vermilion Parish residents be aware of Scare on the Square happening on Halloween night. Enjoy Trick or Treating around the square from 6pm until 8pm, spooky songs and haunted tales at 5pm and a costume contest at 3pm for ages 0-12.

The River Ranch Business Association is pleased to announce that they will be hosting the first annual "Boofest" celebration. The businesses and shops of River Ranch will open their doors to trick-or-treaters between the hours of 3PM and 6PM on Saturday, October 31, 2009
Halloween bash at Erath high school stadium on halloween from 6-10 pm
The City of Rayne and local organizations, businesses and families have put together an exciting "Fright Fest" for our community for Halloween, Saturday, October 31. Fright Fest 2009, being held at the Rayne Civic Center, promises to be a fun event.
Plans for the evening have been finalized and everyone is invited to participate.
The hours of fun will be from 5:30 p.m. until 7:30 p.m. with a voluntary admission fee of a canned good or monetary donation, which will be returned to the community in baskets for needy families during the Thanksgiving holidays.
SAFE HALLOWEEN IN OPELOUSAS MOVED TO SATURDAY, OCT. 31
(Opelousas, LA) - Due to inclement weather predicted for Thursday, October 29, the City of Opelousas Tourism Department has rescheduled Safe Halloween at the Village for Saturday, October 31, 2009. The event will be held from 5:30 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. There will be a costume contest for children, face painting, and trick-or-treating in the historical Le Vieux Village.
Businesses and organizations from around the community take part in the event by decorating the houses located in Le Vieux Village. Activities are geared to kids ages one to 12-years old. Children should be dressed in costume.
The City of Opelousas Tourism Department along with the City of Opelousas Museum and InterpretiveCenter is asking attendees to park in the new City parking lot located on the corner of Academy and Vine Street
. The driveway into the Village will be blocked off for the Safety of the children. Children will be able to go to each house on the village while trick -or-treating.
For the last four years this has been a fantastic event for families, it has turned into an annual tradition for Opelousas. This years Safe Halloween supporters include Thibodeaux's Electric Service, Wal-MartDC 6048, Wal-Mart Superstore, St. Landry Parish District Attorney's Office, Quality Fire & Security Inc., Ardoin's Exterminating Company, Acadiana Bottling of Lafayette, Mr. & Mrs Charles Renaud, Councilwoman - Jacqueline M.. Martin, Super 1 Foods, Opelousas Rockets Basketball Team, Williams Progressive Life & Accident Ins. Co., Chrystal's 123 Daycare, Mr. Kendall Anderson Ford and Joseph Funeral Home.
