Halloween Changes for Two Acadiana towns

Halloween is normally celebrated on October 31st but for two cities in Louisiana it will be celebrated tonight.
Several churches in both Jennings and Elton have religious instruction on Wednesday evenings. Terry Duhon Mayor of Jennings says Halloween is always pushed up a day if it falls Wednesday so children and their families will be able to enjoy both their religious instruction as well as trick or treating.
The owners of "Polka Dotz" a clothing store in Jennings with a special Halloween section say they had to made major changes in preparation for the new halloween date.
"This morning when I got to work at 10 o'clock there were people waiting at the door for tutu's and leotards because no one else in Jennings prepared like we did for the early date of Halloween trick or treating," said Sales Clerk Meagan Vellon.
