LAPLACE, La. (AP) - A man brandishing a long-barreled gun robbed a group of men gathered on a street in LaPlace on Friday night, the St. John the Baptist Parish Sheriff's Office said.
The Times-Picayune reported the group told deputies they were socializing when the man walked up to them and ordered them to empty their pockets.
The victims told investigators they handed over a cell phone, a watch, a cap and a pair of shoes. The suspect fled.
No injuries were reported.
