ALEXANDRIA, La. (AP) - Police are looking for the 300-pound
gunman who robbed a Sabine State Bank and Trust branch in
Alexandria.
Based on witness accounts, police say the robber is a male who
stands about 6 feet tall. He was wearing a tan baseball cap, white
button-down shirt, dark shirt underneath and dark pants -- possibly
jeans -- during the robbery.
Police says the bandit was last seen leaving the bank Tuesday in
a car with a white-colored or very faded trunk.
The Town Talk reports officials have not released how much money
the gunman stole during the heist.
This is the second bank robbery to take place in Alexandria
during the month of August. The first occurred Aug. 5 at a Union
Bank branch. Two suspects were arrested in that robbery.
