Gun Found on Lafayette Campus

A semi-automatic hand gun was recovered at the W.D. Smith Career Center in Lafayette Wednesday. A 15 year old was arrested for being in possession of the weapon; it was actually in his shoe. The gun was not loaded, and the student didn't have any ammunition. The resource officer at the school made the arrest.
The student was charged with Possesion of a Firearm on Campus. He was released to his parents.
