Greensburg man found dead at burned home

GREENSBURG, La. (AP) - The St. Helena Parish Sheriff's Office is investigating the death of a 76-year-old Greensburg man whose body was found outside his burned home.
Chief of Detectives Joe Chaney says a mail carrier arrived at John Hornsby's home around 10 a.m. Tuesday, found the house had burned and notified authorities.
Chaney says deputies located Hornsby's body lying in the front yard.
He says the case is being investigated as a homicide because Hornsby suffered blunt-force trauma to the head.
