Greater Acadiana United Way Disaster Fund set up in flood recovery

Responding to flooding in Acadiana, United Way of Acadiana and St. Landry - Evangeline United Way have teamed up to help give people a helping hand.
"The Greater Acadiana United Way Disaster Fund has been launched to leverage resources and make the greatest impact in long-term recovery efforts for community members in Acadia, Evangeline, Lafayette, , St. Landry, St. Martin, and Vermilion parishes following the recent floods," United Way of Acadiana Director of Marketing & Communications Stephanie Mire said.

Financial donations to the fund can be made by:

1. Online at www.UnitedWayofAcadiana.org

2. Calling or delivering to your local United Way:
• St. Landry/Evangeline United Way - 311 W Vine Street, Opelousas, LA 337-942-7815
• United Way of Acadiana - 215 E. Pinhook Road, Lafayette, LA 337-706-1229,

3. By mail to P.O. Box 52033, Lafayette, LA 70505

Please make check donations payable to the Greater Acadiana United Way Disaster Fund and indicate specific parish designations in the MEMO field.
