Cloudy skies with rain developing during the day. Temperatures have started out in the 40s this morning, but there is a warm front that will move northward today. Most of Acadiana will climb into the upper 60s and low 70s.
The track of the surface low pressure area will move inland around Cameron and then move northeast. There will be a possibility that far western and extreme northern parts of Acadiana won't get into the warm sector and could stay in the 50s and 60s most of the day.
Rain will be likely with 1/2 to 3/4 inches of rain falling. Heavier amounts will push northward. Heavy freezing rain and snow will blanket areas of Oklahoma and Arkansas. Colder air will push in later this week with highs in the 40s and 50s.
