MINDEN, La. (AP) - The Delta Regional Authority plans to invest more than $200,000 in drilling a water well to serve the North Webster Parish Industrial Park.
Authority spokesman Chris Masingill said the grant will help drill a third water well to increase the development's potable water supply.
The park's current water system doesn't have the capacity to meet needs of a business that has indicated interest in locating in the park. The authority said the unidentified business would create about 30 jobs.
The North Webster Parish Industrial District also will help fund the project, which has a total estimated cost of $408,000.
