COLFAX, La. (AP) - Officials in Grant Parish are considering the best way to attack a growing infrastructure problem in the parish.
The Town Talk reports the Grant Parish Police Jury recently released its 2011-12 Master Plan, which was put together by Pineville consultant Darrell Glascock. The 61-page report identifies the existing conditions of the parish and outlines plans to address a number of needs.
The Master Plan is clear about one thing: If the parish is to continue growing, it must improve its infrastructure.
Glascock identified a sewer system, cellular and Internet service, roads and bridges, solid-waste disposal, and commercial and industrial development as areas to address.
Arnold Murrell, the president of the Police Jury, said the basic idea behind the Master Plan was identifying the parish's major needs.
