LAKE CHARLES, La. (AP) - A 32-year-old Lake Charles man has been arrested in the February 2009
death of his grandmother.
Officials say Carl J. Webb was booked last week with
first-degree murder. He was in the Calcasieu Correctional Center on
unrelated burglary and weapons charges when he was arrested.
Deputies were called to 75-year-old Helen Webb's home near
Gillis on Feb. 26, 2009 after a relative found her body in her
garage. An autopsy revealed that she died from blunt-force trauma.
Authorities haven't disclose a motive for the killing.
