Grand Jury Indicts Lafayette Man in MLK Day Murder

A Lafayette Grand Jury has indicted Jacob Ardoin (pictured) on one count of second-degree murder for a shooting on Martin Luther King Jr. Day.

Investigators say Ardoin shot and killed Jordan Melancon, 20, on Hilda Street just yards away from a celebration to commemorate Dr. King.

Melancon left behind two children; an 18-month and 4-month old child.
