Today, Governor Bobby Jindal announced reappointment to the Louisiana Auctioneers Licensing Board.
The Louisiana Auctioneers Licensing Board issues, administers, and revokes auction licenses and regulates licensed auctioneers.
According to statute, the board is composed of seven members, five of whom must be auctioneers that represent each of the five public service commission districts, and two are non-licensed "consumers" who are selected from the state at-large. According to statute, each member is appointed by the Governor and subject to Senate confirmation.
Reappointments to the Louisiana Auctioneers Licensing Board:
Gregory Bordelon, of Lake Arthur, is currently the Vice President of Gulf Coast Autoplex. Bordelon will be reappointed to serve as a non-licensed consumer selected from the state at-large, as required by statute.
Charles Clayton Brister, of Sieper, is an agriculture specialist for the Louisiana Department of Agriculture. Brister will be reappointed to serve as a non-licensed consumer selected from the state at-large, as required by statute.
Ewell "Lamar" Little, of Baton Rouge, is a retired sales manager for Amity Leather Products and is the former owner of L&R Auctioneers & Liquidators. Little will be reappointed to serve as an auctioneer representing the 2nd Public Service Commission District, as required by statute.
Hal McMillin, of Westlake, is a business development manager for Levingston Engineers and is a police juror for Calcasieu Parish. McMillin will be reappointed to serve as an auctioneer representing the 4th Public Service Commission District, as required by statute.
Jim Sims, of Farmerville, is a project manager for Atwood Fence Company, former owner of James Sims and Associates Auctioneers, and formerly owned and managed a construction and equipment rental company. Sims will be reappointed to serve as an auctioneer representing the 5th Public Service Commission District, as required by statute.
Tessa Steinkamp, of New Orleans, has been the Executive Vice President of New Orleans Auction St. Charles Gallery, Inc., since 1997. Steinkamp will be reappointed to serve as an auctioneer representing the 1st Public Service Commission District, as required by statute.
