"Building healthier lives, free of cardiovascular diseases and stroke..." is the mission that drives the Go Red for Women campaign. The American Heart Association is having its annual Go Red for Women luncheon at the Lafayette Hilton. On Thursday, February 20th the educational luncheon will celebrate heart disease awareness month and educate the public about one of the highest cause of death in Acadiana - Heart Disease. The keynote speaker this year is Kathrine Switzer, the first numbered woman to run the Boston Marathon. The luncheon is from 10 a.m. unit 1:30 p.m., and KATC's Tracy Wirtz will be the master of ceremony.
