If you're not in New Orleans for the big game, what's a better way to be a part of it, than to be here at home with good food, drinks, and family.
Game day in Acadiana means big bucks for local groceries and bars, take Rouses Supermarket, in Lafayette.
"This is a lot more ramped up than usual. We've got the extra people in here to help out to make sure everything runs smoothly," said Jeff Pannell, Rouses Assistant Store Director.
With both the Saints and L.S.U. playing this weekend, customers are making sure they're prepared and are ready to party at home.
"Selling the charcoal, the BBQ stuff, everything. It's just flying out of here," said Pannell.
Many families make cooking and watching the game a tradition that they never pass up.
"Watching the game in the back on the big screen that's the best part," said Aaron Degeytair who was gearing up for the game.
"Getting everybody together, kids love it, we love it. Gotta support the New Orleans Saints."
Store associates believe crowds will continue to flow in throughout the weekend in preparation for the big L.S.U. game Monday.
