The Charenton man who died allegedly at the hands of Wilbert Thibodeaux will be buried tomorrow. Funeral services for Eddie Lyons, 79, will be held at Mt Pleasant Baptist Church in Charenton Saturday, February 2 at 11a.m.
Lyons was shot and his body was found inside his burned trailer, which Thibodeaux is accused of setting on fire. According to Lyons' obituary, he was a mechanic and worked for Sterling Sugars Inc, for 35 years before retiring in 2005.
Thibodeaux is accused of shooting and killing Chitimacha Police Sgt. Rick Riggenbach and shooting and injuring St. Mary Parish Deputies Matthew Strickland and Jason Javier.
Thibodeaux is charged with two counts of 1st degree murder, two counts of attempted 1st degree murder and one count of arson.
