Funeral Services will be conducted for Erin Marie Lasalle, age 17, at 11:00 am Thursday, September 12, 2013 at Nativity of Our Lady Catholic Church with Fr. Edward Duhon officiating. Interment will follow at Memorial Park Cemetery.
Visitation will be held from 1:00 pm until 9:00 pm on Wednesday with a Rosary at 7:00 pm. The funeral home will reopen at 8:00 am on Thursday and remain open until service time.
A resident of New Iberia, Erin passed away at 9:53 pm on Saturday, September 7, 2013 at Iberia Medical Center from injuries she sustained in a motor vehicle crash.
Erin, also known as Eazy-E, was a senior at Westgate High School and was scheduled to graduate in May 2014. She was a former member of the Westgate High School Varsity Cheerleading Squad. She was a dance student at Studio 84 where she competed for 13 years and was a member of Company 84. She had a great passion for dance and performing arts. Erin's dream was to attend Julliard Dance School and then become a registered nurse. She was a huge fan of LSU Baseball and Football and enjoyed sports in general. Erin was highly devoted to her family, especially her siblings. She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.
She is survived by her parents, Bertrand Lasalle and Christina Whitney Lasalle; siblings, Corey Lasalle, Megan Lasalle, Emilee Lasalle; grandparents, Aaron Whitney, Annette Whitney; aunts, Mathilde Romero and husband Keith, Claudette Stoltz and husband Frank, Monique Viator and husband Dale, Narissa Arredondo and husband Richard; uncle, David Lasalle, Jr.; cousins, Rebecca, Chuck, Jacob, Jim and Melanie Borel, Derrick, Brennan and Austin Stoltz, Brett, Claire, Maria, Matthew, Ian and Nathan Viator, Caleb Crouch, Chyanne, Olive and Genie Borel and Noah Arrendondo.
She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Daivd F. Lasalle and Virgie Trahan Lasalle, Leticia Espinosa and great-grandmother, Donna J. Keebler.
Pallbearers will be Chuck Borel, Austin Stoltz, Taylor Pellerin, Nicholas Jackson, Corey Lasalle and Christian Alombro.
