Fugitive Task Force Merging

MEMPHIS, Tenn. (AP) - Effective Friday, the Mid South Fugitive
Task Force will merge with the Gulf Coast Regional Fugitive Task
Force based in Birmingham, Ala.
The Mid-South Fugitive Task Force name will change to the Gulf
Coast Regional Fugitive Task Force-West Tennessee Division.
According to a news release from the U.S. Marshal's office in
Memphis, the merger will provide district U.S. Marshals and their
state/local task force members with additional resources and
assistance on the regional level.
The new task force territory becomes Louisiana, Alabama,
Mississippi and now West Tennessee.
It will consist of 130 total members, four federal agencies and
46 state/local agencies.
