Front Brings Breeze & Cooler Temperatures

A Canadian cool front will surge southward across Acadiana by Friday morning insuring cooler temperatures for the start of the weekend.

Breezy north-northeast winds, abundant sunshine with highs closer to the low-mid 70s are expected for our Friday.

Temperatures will cool into the mid-upper 40s Saturday morning with lots of sunshine and pleasant temperatures Saturday afternoon.

A weak upper level disturbance is expected to move eastward from Texas to Louisiana Sunday but this system should just bring clouds and perhaps a few isolated showers to Acadiana Sunday but the system will be weakening as it traverses the area.

Partly cloudy and warmer conditions are expected next week ahead of a developing and perhaps dynamic weather system that will be forming in the nation's mid-section.

It remains unclear as to if and when Acadiana will see significant rain chances but showers and storms may become likely Wednesday or Thursday...so the Halloween forecast looks rather dubious at this time.

There may ultimately be a heavy rain and/or severe weather threat for the area with this system mid-late next week so stay tuned for future forecasts.
