Lafayette Parish Sheriff's Office, Lafayette City Marshalls and Lafayette Police Department participated in the checkpoint, which resulted in 937 vehicles passing through during the course of the operation in the 2300 block of Johnston Street. Of those vehicles, 17 drivers were stopped for secondary testing. Officers issued 26 traffic citations for traffic violations.

The checkpoint lasted from 9:00 pm to 3:00 am. LPD spokesperson Cpl.
