The Lafayette Parish Sheriff's Office will hold its annual Leadership and Resiliency Summer Camp June 7th thru July 2nd. The camp is open to all kids and is free of charge. Home base for the camp is the LPSO Community Corrections Campus, located at100 Poydras St. The Summer Camp is divided into two grade level sessions. The middle school session will run from June 7 through June 18 and is open to any incoming 7th and 8th grade student in Lafayette Parish. High School Camp begins on June 21 and concludes on July 2nd and is open to any one attending highschool in the parish. Attendance is limited to 60 students per camp and registration is first come first serve. Registration forms can be downloaded from the Sheriff’s website www.lafayettesheriff.com or picked up at the Community Corrections Campus.
In addition to a variety of guest speakers, crafts and activities students will also participate in a variety of fun field trips including going to the movies, bowling, rock climbing and more. All field trips, transportation to and from activities and meals are provided free of charge.
