ST. MARY, La. (AP) - An ongoing methamphetamine investigation in Franklin and Tensas parishes has resulted in a dozen arrests.

Louisiana State Police say six women and six men were booked Monday on various charges into the Franklin Parish Detention Center. Investigators say most face charges of racketeering, conspiracy to distribute methamphetamine and possession of methamphetamine.

A joint probe by the state police criminal investigations division in Monroe and the Franklin and Tensas parish sheriff's offices of a March murder and three drug arrests led to investigators uncovering a parish-wide methamphetamine distribution network in Franklin Parish and Monday's arrests.
