The Franklin Police Department responded to 16 complaints over the past 24 hours and made the following arrests:
The Franklin Police Department received information that the Anderson Food Mart was selling illegal narcotic paraphernalia. An undercover police officer went to the Anderson Food Mart and purchased the paraphernalia which led to the following arrest:
KHALED MEHDAR ABDULLA, 34, of Lee Street - Franklin, LA
was issued a summons to appear in 3rd Ward City Court on the charge of Sell or Distribution of Drug Paraphernalia.
12/21/2009 @ 4:46 PM, NOEMI MARIE DEROUEN, 22, of St. John Street - Franklin, LA
was arrested and charged with Disturbing The Peace By Loud and Obscene Language, Resisting An Officer With Force and Simple Assault on a Police Officer. Ms. Derouen was processed and held with no bond set at time of press release to appear in 3rd Ward City Court.
12/21/2009 @ 10:21 PM, LEO GRADLEY JR., 48, of Martin Luther King - Franklin, LA
was arrested on a warrant dated November 18, 2009, charging him with Hit and Run Driving. Mr. Gradley was also processed on a warrant issued by the Iberia Parish Sheriff's Office, charging him with Issuing Worthless Checks. Mr. Gradley was processed and held on a $1000.00 bond to appear in 3rd Ward City Court and a $500.00 bond for Iberia Parish.

was arrested on warrant issued by the St. Martin Parish Sheriff's Office, charging him with Failure To Appear. Mr. Johnson was also processed on a warrant issued by the East Baton Rouge Parish Sheriff's Office, charging him with Possession of Stolen Property $300-500. Mr. Johnson was processed and held with no bond set at time of press release.
