The Franklin Police Department responded to 18 complaints over the past 24 hours and made the following arrests:
5/14/14 @ 10:36 AM, Ron Madison, 38, of Rosebud St., Baldwin, LA, was arrested by the St. Mary Parish Sheriff's Office on a warrant held by the Franklin Police Department charging him with Theft. The arrest stems from an incident that occurred on April 25, 2013. The victim purchased a phone from Madison, but never received the phone. Madison was processed and held at the St. Mary Law Enforcement Center.
5/14/14 @ 10:52 AM, Breonne Bowie, 26, of Lockett Rd., Franklin, LA, arrested on warrants charging him with Aggravated Obstruction of a Highway, Simple Criminal Damage to Property (2 Counts), Stop Sign and Yield Sign Violation (6 Counts), Driving Under Suspension, Speeding by Radar, Flight From an Officer, Illegal Possession of Stolen Things, and No Insurance. Bowie turned himself in at the St. Mary Parish Sheriff's Office. Bowie was processed and held at the St. Mary Law Enforcement Center.
5/14/14 @ 11:05 AM, Linda Nerve, 61, of Talbot St., Franklin, LA, was arrested on a warrant charging her with Remaining Where Forbidden. Nerve was processed and released to appear in Third Ward City Court.
5/14/14 @ 11:41 AM, Vanessa Ina, 47, of Ninth St., Franklin, LA, was arrested on a warrant charging her with Simple Criminal Damage to Property and Simple Battery. Ina was processed and release on a $1500.00 bond.
5/14/14 @ 12:07 PM, Richard Randall, 47, of Mechanic St., Franklin, LA, was arrested on a warrant charging him with Simple Battery. Randall was processed and released on a $500.00 bond.
5/14/14 @ 1:13 PM, Vertress Loston, 35, of Talbot St., Franklin, LA, was arrested through a joint investigation with the St. Mary Parish Sheriff's Office, and charged with No Seat Belt, No Drivers License, Possession of Schedule I Narcotics (Heroin), and Possession of Schedule II Narcotics (Hydrocodone) with Intent to Distribute. Loston was also arrested on a warrant for Third Ward City Court for Failure to Appear on the charge of Domestic Abuse Battery- 1st Offense. Loston was processed and held with no bond set at the time of press release.
